1. First of all, a simple introduction of yourself, please.
My name is José Cabral. I was born in Lisbon (Portugal) 29 years ago. I’ve studied Sociology and before working in a bank I was an air steward.
2. Where is the main location of your activity at?
Like the name of my blog suggests my activity is based on Lisbon. “O Alfaiate Lisboeta” means “The Lisbon Tailor”. In fact there is an English version with that name. They’re both linked one to another.

3. Please introduce the place you are working. Let's say how is the fashion trend in there?
Well… I work in a bank. I know it’s not the kind of job you expect of someone that “runs” a street fashion blog but that’s it! As you can imagine there`s no job more formal than that. Although I like to wear suits I would say my job it’s definitely not an inspiration for me.
4. Is there any artist who influenced you, as a person and not a fashionista, emotionally or spiritually? If yes, please introduce them to us. What do you do on weekends and holidays?
Definitely there insn`t anyone. I think most of the time people have mixed feelings about the way they enjoy the work of someone and the way they look at that person. I might appreciate some work but that doesn’t mean I personally admire the person beyond that work.
About my spare time…Well, I just go out with my girlfriend or friends. Go out for dinner and pubs. I also enjoy practicing some sports (jogging, tennis, surf, soccer)5. Is there anyone who inspires you, as a fashionista? Perhaps other fashionistas, actors, singers, designers, or fashion bloggers?
Thesartorialist was definitely an inspiration. I was introduced to that blog in November and I since then I was crazy about the idea of doing something similar (please don’t understand this as a comparison to Scott Schuman´s work. That’s impossible!). Long story short, he’s my reference. But I think I found myself as being more than a fan. I feel my blog changed my life a bit and in that perspective I owe that to Scott Schuman. Nevertheless I think I’ve got my very own perspective of who I shoot and, necessarily, I think there’s also original points in O Alfaiate Lisboeta.
6. What is your favorite fashion style.
There is one thing that was always important to me: Variety. I can’t stand standards and stereotypes. I love to wear an ultra formal suit and go home and change my look in to a teenager. I can’t choose one or two fashion styles.

7. Please explain how you work. What made you decide to work in this field? Have you experienced some hardship while you were working with non professional models?
I just wanted do capture street influences. Hardship? No way! My blog is all about the people I shoot.
8. Do you have any indie labels, fashion visual magazines, or other fashionistas in your country that you'd like to introduce to us?
I find these t-shirts interesting. These guys are based in Lisbon. http://bold-shop.com/
9. Finally, a word to the RSS reader.
Dear RSS readers, I’ve found this “joint-venture” with an international platform of fashion links and street blogs as a wonderful opportunity to share ideas and perspectives about fashion worldwide. I hope you find my view of my own city (Lisbon, Portugal) interesting.
